The Thelwall Viaduct is a critical component part of the M6 motorway network and as such major re-building and strengthening work has been carried out over many years. The prime contractor for this project required Non-destructive testing to be carried out on every weld made as part of the strengthening process. The method of NDT preferred by the contractor was Magnetic Particle Inspection, this was complemented by Eddy Current and Ultra Sonic inspections.
We confirm our total satisfaction arising from Messrs Format NDT attended the project to undertake survey, put in place the necessary documentation and notification to Her Majesty’s Health and Safety Executive
