Since its inception in 1976, Format QA Consultants Limited have undertaken many major NDT projects throughout the United Kingdom. Here is a quick selection of a few of those projects:
| Thelwall Viaduct |
The Thelwall Viaduct is a critical component part of the M6 motorway network and as such major re-building and strengthening work has been carried out over many years. The prime contractor for this project required Non-destructive testing to be carried out on every weld made as part of the strengthening process. The method of NDT preferred by the contractor was Magnetic Particle Inspection, this was complemented by Eddy Current and Ultra Sonic inspections.
Format QA Consultants Limited was chosen for this project because of the companies all round capability in Non-Destructive Testing providing the NDE disciplines required by the contractors.
As a result of the success of this project Format QA Consultants Limited has been awarded the contract to carryout similar Non-Destructive Evaluation on a second major road viaduct.
